Wendy
Shaw is a certified dog
trainer and has been training dogs since 1997. She
is constantly learning new things and believes in continuing her
education by reading, attending seminars, and working with her
clients (humans and dogs alike).
Wendy
has many years of experience with animals, including kennel management,
holistic pet store management, veterinary assistant, and owning
her own well respected pet sitting business for 8 years. Her
hobbies include spending time with her family which includes;
3 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 bearded dragon.
Her
motto is training and nutrition
the way nature intended. Wendy's training methods
are based on pack mentality and natural instincts. She
teaches both dog psychology and obedience to her clients
by empowering her human clients to always be the pack leader
in order to achieve a balanced dog. The methods used are very
natural and safe and Wendy
also recognizes that there are many ways to train
a dog; what works for one owner and dog may not work
for the next. Therefore, Wendy studies and practices
many different philosophies, making her a well rounded trainer. However,
Wendy's core philosophy is dog psychology and feels the humans
should be the pack leader and the dog should understand what
is acceptable behavior and what isn't.
