Roaring
Brook Pet Care Center is dedicated to
giving back to the community by serving local non-profit
organizations that care for and rehome homeless
animals. We believe that every animal deserves the
same care and compassion as our own. Therefor
we are commited to serving our community by providing
veterinary care to the following organizations.
Animal Friends of Connecticut,
Inc. is a nonprofit,
no-kill shelter dedicated to the protection of animals.
It is an all volunteer organization, based in West Hartford
and New Britain that rescues stray, abandoned, abused
and handicapped dogs and cats. Animals are also rescued
from local dog pounds when their owners cannot be located.
The animals are given needed medical care, all vaccinations
and spayed or neutered, then cared for at our shelter
until an appropriate placement can be found for them.

Connecticut Greyhound Adoption~GPA is a non-profit,
volunteer organization whose mission is to find permanent,
loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. To fulfill
this mission, our goals are threefold: to inform and
educate the public about the joys of greyhound adoption;
to identify suitable, caring homes for retired racers;
and, to provide pre- and post-adoption support to facilitate
the transition from track to home. CGA endeavors to work
cooperatively with the greyhound racing industry to help
as many greyhounds as possible, including special needs
dogs.
